As a senior engineer I helped get a modern content renderer completed with a 10x performance improvement over the previous renderer. I joined the engineering team for their newest product, a CDP platform, as a Go backend engineer in charge of improvinng performance and reliability.
I developed and integrated a creator platform with Instagram's Creator Marketplace using a combination of Typescript and Python. I built the billing microservice responsible for metered usage and feature gates across different billing plans. Additionally, I served as a mentor and tech lead, owning an initiative that improved automated testing, which gradually reduced the number and severity of reported bugs.
I implemented a search-relevance engine for a product catalog using Python, AWS Lambda, AWS TimeStream and ElasticSearch. I also developed internal tools to manage store product catalogs, categories, and search relevance engines.
I joined as an early engineer and scaled the initial Ruby on Rails and React monolith to handle five times the traffic at half the infrastructure cost. I developed tooling to create developer environments and deploy isolated testing environments to staging, which doubled the time-to-market efficiency. As tech lead I fostered a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
I designed and implemented a comprehensive data synchronization scheme that is utilized across all Carezone systems using Ruby On Rails, Go and PostgreSQL. I also addressed performance bottlenecks optimizing database queries and indexing improving application response times by 25%. As a technical lead, I provided guidance for team members, organized internal tech talks, and led small teams.
I co-founded Chopeo: a DIY ecommerce platform for Latin America offering online ordering, inventory management, payments, and shipping integration. Company got acquired by Dub5, Inc in May, 2015.
I built a satellite's radio module in C and FreeRTOS for ground-to-space communications, including communications, diagnostics and file transfer protocols.
Built new features and bank integrations on their PHP backend.
Designed enterprise-level system for album ingestion, facilitating distribution of valuable musical properties. Led technical teams on major company-wide projects. Bootstrapped INscribe Digital, an ebook distribution platform, generating a new revenue stream.
